NextGen and Ambassador Volunteer Programs - Vail Valley Foundation

NextGen and Ambassador Volunteer Programs

The Vail Valley Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities to help youth reach their full potential, including through our Volunteer Programs.

Our NextGen and Ambassador Volunteer Programs provide high school students with meaningful opportunities to get involved behind the scenes of world-class events while building valuable life skills. Designed to create meaningful volunteer pathways for students, these programs offer the next generation of community-minded leaders uniquely fun opportunities to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and build their resumes.

Through volunteer experiences in athletics, arts, and community events, students gain confidence, strengthen leadership and communication skills, explore potential career interests, and connect with professionals, peers, and the local community. Each program gives students real responsibilities and active roles within the event environment, creating experiences that are both impactful and memorable.

All participants receive dedicated pre-event training to help them feel prepared and supported, along with onsite guidance and tools designed to help them make the most of the experience. Participants are encouraged to explore different areas of each event, grow their skills, and reflect on what they are learning along the way. Applications are typically released several months before each event, with program requirements and selection processes varying by event.
