Development Events Intern

The Development Events Intern will support the Development team in planning and executing various events throughout the summer months. Events include, but are not limited to, Star Dancing Gala, Vilar Patron Party, Bravo! Vail Evenings in the Patron Plaza, and the VVF 4th of July Patrons Picnic. This position reports to the Development Events Manager and will work closely with other team members to ensure the success of events.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of events, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
  • Create and maintain event documentation, including timelines, budgets, and contact lists.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all event details are communicated and executed effectively.
  • Support the Development team with administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of event marketing materials, including invitations, programs, and social media content.
  • Provide on-site support during events, including setup, registration, and teardown.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations for future improvements.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned, including front desk coverage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Experience with event planning and coordination is preferred.

  • Excellent management and organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with flexibility, the capacity to generate innovative solutions and strategies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to provide support to the greater Vail Valley Foundation staff as available and necessary.
  • Experience with or capacity to learn Microsoft Office Suite, [and other systems].

This is a seasonal, hourly position running from June 15 through July 31, 2026. The schedule is approximately 20 hours per week from June 15 to June 26, increasing to 30 hours per week from June 29 through July 31. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.

Hourly Rate is $18 per hour.
