The Vail Valley Foundation's athletics mission allows our organization to provide excitement, vitality, and economic impact to our community. And, each June, the GoPro Mountain Games puts this philosophy front and center as we welcome the world to this iconic summertime event.
As January comes to a close, many people lose track of their "New Year's resolutions."
But not mountain dwellers!
And part of the way they stay on track is by registering for an event at the GoPro Mountain Games. The Mountain Games is a great place for people of all ages and abilities to take part in a major event, right alongside the professionals. And, 2024 is a leap year. That means athletes from around the Rockies, and around the world, will get an extra 24 hours to train for the upcoming event June 6-9, 2024 right here in Vail.
Registration for 11 different disciplines and more than 30 athletic competitions at the GoPro Mountain Games is now open at mountaingames.com. Over $140,000 in prize money will be distributed. Professional and amateur athletes, never-evers, kids, families, and more are invited to participate.
