Soccer Program Manager | YP365

The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) is seeking a Soccer Program Manager for YouthPower365! Join an energetic team focused on empowering the youth of Eagle County through participation in our soccer program. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, innovative, and have excellent communication skills. The Soccer Program Manager must be able to relate to the youth in our community ranging in age from middle school through high school and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

The Soccer Program Manager’s role is to provide oversight of all YP365 soccer programming including tournament schedules, curriculum implementation, support and training of coaches, organization of all equipment and supply delivery, practice time and tournament play. This position is a key player in building community connections and systems of supports for youth in Eagle County. The Soccer Program Manager is responsible for cultivating community relationships with all area soccer organizations, Mountain Recreation, and ECS high schools as well as possible sponsorship and funding opportunities related to the program. A qualified candidate would have C or high level of USSF coaching certification, have experience in supporting coaches, have experience running a sports program and management experience.


  • Must be proficient in the rules of play for soccer
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
  • USSF Coaching Certification C Level or above
  • College Degree
  • Experience managing coaches or equivalent
  • Experience organizing athletic tournament play
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
  • Teach life skills and soccer skills to both coaches and players
  • Develop soccer training programs with effective curriculum for three 6-8 week programs per year
  • Coordinate registration, game and practice schedules including transportation arrangements
  • Ensure proper training of staff and foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate that maximizes staff morale and productivity for Academic Soccer, COPA, and Summer Camp
  • Effectively manage personnel including maintaining qualified staff and communicating areas of accountability and performance
  • Manage inventory of equipment and maintain storage unit
  • Develop a retention plan for participants
  • Coordinate the winter soccer schedule
  • Represent Academic Soccer program to the community and aid in fundraising, marketing, and public relations
  • Operate and develop COPA tournament including staffing, scheduling, and registrations
  • Liaise with high schools and Mountain Rec on behalf of YP365
  • Coordinate programming with partners and PwrHrs summer staff to provide best practices in youth development in academics, enrichment, fitness and nutrition
