Soccer Coach | YouthPower365

YouthPower365 Soccer coach’s role is to provide a well-organized, fun, safe and disciplined practice environment. Understanding that the player’s safety is the priority. Recognizes players abilities; explains the roles of their positions to encourage them to develop their skills. The coach will set a good example for parents and players too, understanding that they are role models and will lead by example. The coach communicates clear expectations to promote the values of dedication and hard work to players. The Soccer coach will also work alongside the school staff and the schools YouthPower365 coordinator to ensure student athletes meet academic standards. As a coach you are a role model, and your unique relationship with our student athletes will impact their lives greatly.

What you will learn

  • Be on time for practice (10 min before) have a prepared practice session for the team.
  • Eligible players can participate in Saturday games.
  • Hold students accountable for cleaning up the field and/or bench after practices and games.
  • Understand that the safety of the players comes first.
  • Understand that my actions, good and bad, reflect directly not only on myself but also on the team. And YouthPower365
  • Be enthusiastic with all players, motivating and encouraging them through positive reinforcement.
  • Keep parents/players informed on practices, games, directions, create GroupMe app etc.
  • Will be humble, generous, and gracious in victory; courteous and dignified in defeat.
  • Will be available for training days
  • Will join meetings and trainings held by administrators. (These may occur every two weeks)
  • Working weekend travel
  • Successfully Complete CSA soccer Grassroots Modules, License D
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification Required
  • Assist transportation after programs
  • Occasional travel with Boys and Girls on bus to games
  • Eagle County District Authorization required (Background Check and Fingerprinting)
  • Experience and knowledge in the game of soccer
  • Lead practices twice a week after school hours.
  • Attend games on Saturdays.
  • Experience working with both education and nonprofit organizations.
  • Commitment to professional growth
  • Experience working with youth
  • Exceptional relationships, problem solving skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Candidate will participate in Fall, Winter, and Spring Soccer season

This is a part-time, hourly non-exempt position. Hourly range: Starting at $25/hr. based on experience.
