PwrHrs Program Coordinator

The VVF’s YouthPower365 is seeking a PwrHrs Program Coordinator to support systematic design, development, delivery and review of the PwrHrs K-8 programs. Areas of responsibility include: curriculum development, professional development planning and facilitation for PwrHrs staff, adherence to program quality and licensing, participant growth and best practices. Specific programs include PwrHrs Afterschool, Girl PowHER and PwrHrs Summer Camp. The PwrHrs Program Coordinator will be responsible for school programming in a defined geographic area (e.g., Avon/Vail, Edwards, Eagle or Gypsum) and work in a collaborative team of other PwrHrs Program Coordinators overseeing their respective assigned geographic areas.


  • College Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
  • 3+ years of program coordination and/or teaching.
  • Knowledge of school systems (both building and district level).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Bilingual – preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work evening and occasional weekend hours (approximately 2 extra nights a month).
  • Collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Ability to engage with K-8 students, teachers and parents.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of PwrHrs program goals.
  • Support program school coordinators to ensure high quality delivery of programming.
  • Provide support and coaching to teachers and site coordinators.
  • Coordinate programming with partners and PwrHrs staff to provide best practices in the field of youth development.
  • Assist in ensuring that programming aligns with the goals and objectives of each individual school.
  • Represent YouthPower365 and collaborate with the community, as it relates to education and family engagement.
  • Knowledge of current education and youth development trends.
