Sr. Manager of K-8 Operations | YouthPower365

Vail Valley Foundation’s YouthPower365 is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager who will be responsible for leading, maintaining, and improving the systems, quality, partnerships, and growth of YouthPower365’s programming for elementary and middle school students.

  • Experience overseeing daily operations of multiple programs and/or departments
  • Multiple years of direct management of multiple positions and individuals

  • Track record of implementing evaluation methods and reporting on outcomes
  • Previous experience working and excelling in a fast paced, multi-level, project-based environment with emphasis on timelines, quality, and delivery
  • Capable of remaining focused and calm under stressful situations and able to quickly adapt to changing conditions
  • Exceptional relationship management, problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to make critical decisions independently and with little supervision
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasts and profit and loss statements.
  • Team approach and willingness to assist others when called upon
  • Familiarity with schools and organizations in Eagle County
  • A strengths-based approach to youth and families
  • Practice in positive youth development and learning strategies
  • Conversational Spanish skills
  • Understanding of state licensing rules and regulations for childcare programs.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Prior experience working with YouthPower365.

 

  • Leading a full-time team of 5 employees, with oversight of nearly 100 part-time staff
  • Managing personnel evaluations, coaching, and professional development
  • Being an active member of the YouthPower365 leadership team which reports directly to the Executive Director
  • Cross-collaborating with other managers in the continuum of services within YouthPower365
  • Management of relevant budgets and budget systems
  • Oversight of payroll and employee expense system
  • Establishing and maintaining logistical systems across all YouthPower365 programs
  • Managing communications and relationships with schools, families, partners, and community as it relates to K-8 programs
  • Working with an internal and external team to design curriculum for programs
  • Maintaining compliance of all K-8 programs to state licensing for childcare programs
  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with other local and state nonprofits
  • Monitoring and sharing state trends in education, youth development, and prevention
  • Ensuring the high quality, efficiency, and impact of K-8 programs
  • Working closely with VVF marketing, finance, and operations departments
  • Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to improve operations and inform program improvement
  • Implementing assessments to track student growth across the YouthPower365 continuum
  • Identifying needs of the organization and assist with the development of strategic plan and organizational goals

This is a salaried, full time year-round position eligible for all VVF employment benefits.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually based on experience and requirements of this position.
