The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) is seeking a Program Lead for its YouthPower365 Girl PowHER Program! Join an energetic team focused on empowering young women in middle and high schools through-out the Vail Valley. A successful candidate will be creative, detail oriented, organized, enthusiastic, innovative, have excellent communication skills, and a track record of success working with young women. The Girl PowHER Lead must be genuinely passionate about the success of young women living our beautiful mountain community.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with middle and/or high school youth.
- Ability to create and deliver curriculum to middle and high school aged girls.
- Knowledge and experience in gender specific curriculum design.
- Experience in development; cultivating and nurturing donor relationships.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain community relationships.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of managing and operating with-in a set budget.
- Experience in leadership and management.
- Ability to thrive with a varying work schedule including nights and weekends.
- Interest in engaging in a broad spectrum of VVF activities.
- A strong sense of adventure & fun!
- Continually innovate the Girl PowHER curriculum, along with community and program partners, to: build grit and resilience, expand on each participant’s sense of adventure, support an environment of academic excellence, incorporate arts and culture.
- Prepare and manage the Girl PowHER Pro-gram budget.
- Communicate and organize delivery of Girl PowHER Program at all schools which Girl PowHER operates or is expanding; includes coordinating with in-school staff, outside presenters, facilitators and mentors.
- Refine and expand special event, weekend and summer Girl PowHER programming.
- Maintain and build community relationships to partner with Girl PowHER for both delivery and program support.
- Organize the annual PowHER Up for Success event.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Girl PowHER.
- Assist development and fundraising team in the planning and delivery of the annual Girl PowHER Fashion Show Fundraiser.
