The Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) is seeking part-time staff for the 2023 Summer Season at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater (“The Amp”). Gate staff must have exceptional guest service skills, be able to properly represent the high standards of the VVF and be comfortable interacting with a variety of people. Successful candidates will have a professional demeanor, and aspirations that align with our organization’s diverse mission and commitment to excellence within the community. Gate staff must be capable of learning and understanding the Amphitheater’s protocol for safety and emergency situations and must demonstrate a willingness to assist in all situations.
Ability to stand for four (4) or more hours
Ability to take direction and be flexible
Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
Customer Service Experience preferred
Excellent oral communication skills
Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Capable of remaining focused and calm under stressful situations and able to quickly adapt to changing conditions
Willingness to work in outdoor conditions with variable weather
Ability to perform physical labor as needed
Successful candidates must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 due to the nature of the work of the Vail Valley Foundation. Candidates needing accommodation may be considered depending on the essential functions of the job.
Prepare venue for guest arrival
Greet guests
Check bags at entry points for prohibited items
Communicate venue polices and answer guest inquiries
Direct guests to correct lines for check-in during ingress and egress
Scan tickets as needed
Direct guests to their seats
Enforce venue policies
Help with golf cart shuttle service as needed
This is a seasonal, part-time hourly position with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour
Events run from May – September including nights, weekends, and holidays
Shifts begin 90 minutes prior to event time
