The Vail Valley Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide life-enriching experiences in arts, athletics, and education, while addressing community needs to enhance our valley as a place to live, work and visit.

Since 1981, the Vail Valley Foundation has been bringing big ideas to life and adding vibrance to our Valley.

OUR AREAS OF FOCUS

Our founders identified four areas that make a community strong and vibrant. Since our inception, we have worked to bring world-class art and athletic events to our rural community while ensuring that all children in the valley have access to programming to enhance their growth and learning. We have recently added community support to our pillars. Though we have always been an organization that puts the community first, it’s now a part of our mission and vision.

Arts

We bring arts and culture to life in the Vail Valley; from the world-renowned Vail Dance Festival to top-tier programming at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and Vilar Performing Arts Center, and much more.

Athletics

VVF events like Birds of Prey World Cup ski races and the GoPro Mountain Games bring economic impact and international attention to our community while cultivating a culture of health through activity, shared experiences, and athleticism.

Education

From early childhood to college and career, our YouthPower365 initiative provides programs to help youth reach their full potential. We support youth and families every step of the way.

Community

We are addressing community-wide issues by bringing together individuals, businesses, and local governments to accomplish goals that no one person or entity could achieve alone.
